Activities on the Farm
Get Involved instead of Watching
There’s always something to do on a farm: join in the daily feeding, help in the barn, cuddle with cats and rabbits, bake bread, take a sip of fresh milk, help harvest the grapes,... It will be hard to decide what to do first.
Keep in mind - you’re welcome to help, but you’re not obliged to! In any case, there won’t be a dull moment on the farm. Enjoy an unforgettable holiday with kind hosts and genuine hospitality.
Don’t Forget Your Swimwear
Splashy Fun on the Farm
Not only kids enjoy a dip in the refreshing water. Swimming ponds and public pools are great places to spend a hot summer’s day, also for grown-ups. It’s great if they are nearby.
And it’s even better if the farm comes with a private swimming pond or pool. A deck chair is placed in the shade under the large apple tree and the kids are free to roam and swim, always in sight. Can it get any better than this?
Are you looking for a change? No problem. Grab your swimwear and head out to the lake or public pool nearby.
Do you know where you can find Austria’s warmest lake suitable for swimming? In Styria, exactly! It’s Lake Stubenbergsee in Eastern Styria, to be more precise. A recreational paradise!
Styria boasts plenty of options for swimming such as lakes and public pools in every region. Whether it’s Lake Sulmsee in Southern Styria, Lake Grundlsee in the Ausseerland region, Furtner Teich in the Murtal valley or the reservoir Packer Stausee in Western Styria. You’ll definitely find a place to take a refreshing swim on a hot summer's day!
