The Country House Schwaigerlehen in Stuhlfleden - History Meets Innovation
The farmhouse at the Schwaigerlehen in Stuhlfelden is more than 500 years old and exudes a historic charm and an almost reassuring permanence even from the outside. Even in our fast-moving world, there is no doubt that the Schwaigerlehen could easily stand there for another 500 years. Opening the heavy front door is also the starting signal for your own personal journey through time. Creaking wooden floorboards, antique farmhouse furniture, historical paintings, traditional farm tools, hunting trophies as far as the eye can see. History is hidden here in every little detail and even when you enter again and again, there is always something new to discover. Let your imagination run wild or get the right stories from your hosts.
The Rooms at Schwaigerlehen
You can feel and hear with every step that you are not the first to climb the steep, narrow wooden stairs to the first floor. If you're tall, you can pull your head in once in a while. Four rooms take you back in time. The spacious rooms are furnished with historic, lovingly maintained farmhouse furniture, some with intricate carvings. You won't find underfloor heating or radiators here. Small tiled stoves crackle and provide cosy warmth, just like in times long past. You sleep on mattresses made of lambskin or natural rubber. The original character of the 500-year-old farmhouse also includes the fact that the toilets and bathrooms are not located directly in the rooms, but on the ground floor of the house. There is a washing facility with a sink in every room.
You have to have been there yourself to understand the magic in the Rauchkuchl. Rarely have I been to a place where hospitality is so celebrated.
The Old Kitchen Rauchkuchl at Schwaigerlehen
For centuries, the centrepiece and social hub of the historic farmhouse has been the Rauchkuchl, which, unlike in other houses, is still actively in use. The vaulted ceiling, coloured black by the smoke, gives an idea of what has already ended up here in the heavy iron pans on the open fire. A few years ago, chef Tobias took over the Rauchkuchl from his mother Resi, who had made a name for herself far beyond the region with her traditional cuisine, and was promptly awarded by Gault & Millau for his innovative natural cuisine. The stars on the plate are exclusively products from the region, such as berries, mushrooms and herbs from the alpine pastures, vegetables from the house's own farm garden or game from the surrounding forests. The Country House Pointbauer in Straßwalchen - Discover the Healing Power of Nature
The Pointbauer in Straßwalchen is situated on a small hill, surrounded by meadows, between Wallersee and Irrsee, only 25 km from the city of Salzburg. Far enough away from everything that could get in the way of holiday peace and relaxation, yet close enough to everything that makes the region so interesting. On the organically managed grassland and forestry farm, everything today is under the sign of herbs, health and well-being, and you can feel this throughout the farm grounds. Apart from the many plants and herb beds, various resting places await you for relaxing holiday hours.

A special highlight is definitely the breakfast buffet with regional, high-quality products, homemade jams and juices, herb spreads, farmhouse bread and much more. Farmer Christine has been dealing with the healing power of herbs for years and likes to share her knowledge with interested visitors. During short herb walks on and around the farm, you can learn which natural treasures are hidden in the meadows. Afterwards, the herbs are processed directly into food or natural remedies. You will be amazed at how slowing down the process of gathering herbs can be. Have you always wanted to know more about the potential of our local herbs? The Country House Raggenstein in Viehhofen - The World Looks Different from Above
On a holiday at the Raggenstein-Hof, the journey is definitely already part of the adventure. A well-maintained mountain road takes you up to 1,100 m above sea level in just a few kilometres and especially the co-drivers can enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains and down into the valley. There is no sign of the hustle and bustle of the tourist resorts down in the valley. Nevertheless, you are right in the middle of the skiing and hiking area and can set off on numerous adventures without a car. Just how long the history of the Raggenstein-Hof goes back becomes clear when you see the oldest surviving farmhouse in the Glemmtal, which stands at the Raggenstein-Hof.
The Apartment at Raggenstein
Up to 7 guests can enjoy their holiday break here. The furnishings of the holiday flat are modern yet traditional. A lot of local wood from the surrounding forests provides warmth and a feel-good atmosphere. A big highlight, however, is definitely the private terrace with an unobstructed view. Out here you hear nothing but the bells of the cows in the pasture, while your gaze wanders over the Glemmtal valley and the surrounding mountains. Ideal if you want to leave the stress of everyday life behind and simply soak up the idyllic location.

Furthermore, the visits to Hans' workshop were also a highlight for us and we were able to experience and learn a lot of exciting things.
Old Handicraft at Raggenstein
In your holiday home, you will certainly notice the decorative objects made of wood. Do you actually know what is meant by "woodturning"? Senior farmer Hans invites you to his 400-year-old wood workshop and shows you what this old woodworking method is all about. If you feel like it, you can also try your hand at woodturning yourself.
